Lantern Cottage is a cosy & characterful dog-friendly cottage that sleeps four in 2 bedrooms (king & twin). It's located in the heart of the vibrant Devon town of Totnes which is jam-packed with independent shops, fantastic pubs, cafes and restaurants, a community cinema and a number of live music venues.
A picturesque motte & bailey castle overlooks the town, around the corner from the cottage. And it's surrounded by gorgeous countryside; the River Dart is a 5 minute walk away - great for short or longer walks as well as wild swimming and kayaking. The beautiful south Devon coastline - including Blackpool Sands and a stunning section of the south west coastal path - and renowned Dartmoor National Park are also within easy reach.
The cottage is only minutes from the mainline station (2h 45m from London Paddington), making it very easy to visit without a car.
There are lots of child-friendly activities nearby including the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, the South Devon Steam Railway and the River Dart Country Park with an adventure playground, bike trails, zipwires, swimming and more. Plus lots of family-friendly activities up at nearby Dartington Trust.
