Ruby died from blood cancer in 2020, aged just 18. 7 October 2022 would have been her 21st birthday. To mark the occasion, we'll be launching 'Postcards for Ruby' - postcard-sized pieces of art that will be raffled off to raise money for her fund with Children's Cancer & Leukaemia Group. Blood cancer kills around 150 children & young people in the UK every year, and thousands worldwide.
We'd love as many people as possible to create an A6 postcard as part of this. It would be lovely if some of them featured Ruby's motto - Live Kindly Live Loudly (the Loudly bit is about calling out injustice); but they don't have to! Please don't feel you have to be a talented artist to submit something - we just ask that it's an original piece ❤️ We already have a few lovely postcards designed by children at Rosemead Primary School and a whole set of unique postcards created using designs submitted as part of a recent One Minute Brief' competition (a couple of which are shown on this page.)
All the pieces will go into a raffle and from 7 October, people will be invited to buy a raffle ticket (price tbc but likely to be around £30 including recorded postage) - with every ticket guaranteed to win a postcard. You might win a piece by a professional artist, or by one of Ruby's favourite artists or presenters, or by one of Ruby's classmates. But either way, you'll be getting an original, one-off piece of art created to commemorate Ruby. And you'll be helping to fund potentially life-saving research. Every penny raised will fund research to fund kinder & more effective blood cancer treatments.

We can't wait to share the designs that are submitted! Thank you ❤️
How do I buy a raffle ticket please? I'd love one of the postcards (missed the event yesterday, sadly) but am not sure where to buy either a ticket. Thank you.
